Huawei’s sub-brand Honor recently launched the Honor 9X smartphone in India. The device was launched in China back in 2019. Now, the company appears to be working on a Lite variant in the Honor 9X series of smartphones. The Honor 9X Lite smartphone has popped up on the internet only recently, courtesy of a newly leaked promotional poster, which gives us a hint about some of its specifications. Furthermore, the device is said to come pre-installed with Google Play Services, which could be a point of concern for some.

Honor 9X Lite Leaked Promotional Poster Reveals a Dual Rear Camera Setup, Will Feature Google Play Services

As seen in the promotional poster, the Honor 9X Lite smartphone can be seen touting a dual rear camera setup. The poster confirms that the primary sensor of the device will be a 48MP unit, but it does not tell us anything about the secondary camera. Our best guess is that it could be a 2MP depth sensor, but, it is only speculation for now. Nevertheless, the camera module can be seen aligned vertically at the top left corner of the device. The camera array also features an LED flash. Flanking the camera and the flash is a big text that reads ’48MP AI Camera’. The Honor 9X Lite can also be seen sporting a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner. The device is painted in Crush Blue color, but we can expect more color variants of the device to be introduced when it launches. Lastly, we can spot a power button and the volume rocker on the right side of the Honor 9X Lite smartphone.

Huawei has gradually been shifting to its own Huawei Mobile Services owing to the latest ban that has been imposed on the company. That, however, does not seem to have affected the Honor 9X Lite, at least. The device has been spotted on the Google Play certification, which essentially means that the device will come pre-installed with Google Play Store, Google Mobile Services, and the Google apps. Strangely enough, the model numbers that the device is listed with (JSN-L21, JSN-L22, and JSN-L23) belong to the Honor 8X smartphone, and it could very well be a mistake on the website’s listing part, so we would have to wait for some time until we get clarity on the same.

As of now, this is all we know about the upcoming Honor 9X Lite smartphone, but we are sure to receive more intel on the same in the coming days.
