The news surrounding the launch of the Honor 9X Lite smartphone has been popping up on the internet for quite a while now. Finally, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the device. The Honor 9X Lite borrows some of the specifications and features from the Honor 8X smartphone. That being said, there are several new features that the phone has in store: the 48MP primary camera, for instance. Honor 9X Lite: Price and Availability
The Honor 9X Lite is launched in Finland for an asking price of EUR 199. The company has launched only one memory variant of the Honor 9X Lite, which has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Honor 9X Lite is available in two color variants – black and green.
Honor 9X Lite: Specifications and Features
Starting with the display of the device, the Honor 9X Lite features a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a wide notch at the top. The wide notch makes room for a 16MP selfie snapper and the device’s earpiece. Moving around on the rear of the device, the Honor 9X Lite features a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The primary lens comes with f/1.8 aperture and the depth sensor comes with f/2.4 aperture. Inside the rectangular camera module, there is an LED flash as well. Also, at the rear of the device, the Honor 9X Lite sports a physical fingerprint scanner. The power button and the volume buttons are on the right side of the device, while the SIM tray is on the left side.

Under the hood, the Honor 9X Lite is powered by a much dated Kirin 710 processor, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Internal storage has scope for further expansion with the help of an external SD card. Though the processor is dated, readers must be made aware that the Kirin 710 is one of the processors which are approved for Google services, so the Honor 9X Lite will indeed run Google services. As far as the OS is concerned, the Honor 9X Lite runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with the company’s proprietary EMUI 9 skin baked on top of it. The brand has not specified any timeline for the Android 10 update for the Honor 9X Lite, so we are not really sure as to whether the Honor 9X Lite will ever be updated to the latest Android version.

A 3,750mAh battery keeps the lights of the Honor 9X Lite on. The battery is exactly the same as the Honor 8X, but the Honor 9X Lite features fast charging speeds of up to 10W.
