Honor has officially taken wraps off its newest foldable Magic Vs2 and smartwatch Watch 4 Pro in China. The foldable is a direct successor to the Magic Vs that launched last year. The phone has a high refresh rate panel on both the outside and inside. It has flagship specifications and features that make it a worthy option for the asking price.
As for the smartwatch, it comes loaded with features like an AMOLED display, a stainless steel frame, and eSIM support. The latter will allow users to stay connected to the internet even when there is no WiFi nearby. The smartwatch is a Pro version of the Honor Watch 4 that went official earlier this year.
Honor Magic Vs2 and Honor Watch 4 Pro Price and Availability
The Honor Magic Vs2 has been launched in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. These are priced at CNY 6,999 (about Rs 79,726) and CNY 7,699 (about Rs 87,700) respectively. The buyers can choose from Coral Purple, Velvet Black, and Glacier Blue colours. The foldable can be pre-ordered in China and will go on sale from October 17.
The Honor Watch 4 Pro is priced at CNY 1,599 (about Rs 18,214) for the silicone strap version. You will need to pay CNY 1,799 9 (about Rs 20,492) if interested in the leather strap version. The smartwatch has been released in Dark Green, Brown, and Black colour options. The first two colours are available only in leather straps. The smartwatch can be pre-ordered in China now but will go on sale from October 16. It is unknown if and when these two products will be launched in the global markets.
Honor Magic Vs2 Specifications and Features
The Honor Magic Vs2 has a 7.92-inch Full HD+ OLED primary display with 120Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 1600 nits peak brightness. The external display on the phone measures 6.43-inch and it is also an OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. It has similar features but with a 2500 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The triple camera setup on the back includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 20MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 2.5X optical zoom.
The foldable has a 16MP wide-angle front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging. Other noteworthy features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stylus input support, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi, 5G, and stereo speakers. The phone will boot Magic UI 7.2 based on Android 13 out of the box.
Honor Watch 4 Pro Specifications and Features
The Honor Watch 4 Pro sports a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 464 x 464 pixels resolution. The display offers a pixel density of 310ppi and also supports Always On Display. The smartwatch has a round dial with a physical button that doubles up as a rotating crown. It can be used for performing different actions by long press, short press, and rotating.
Honor has not shared details about the processor, RAM, and storage space available with the smartwatch. It does have all the commonly seen sensors like accelerometer, gyro, optical heart sensor, and ambient light sensor. The smartwatch has a built-in microphone, speakers, and Bluetooth 5.2 for taking calls directly on your wrist.
There is eSIM support on the Honor Watch 4 Pro. It means you do not have to rely on your smartphone or WiFi to get internet connectivity on the smartwatch. It further offers heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep, and stress tracking among other health and fitness features. There is 5ATM water resistance for those who love to go swimming.
The Honor Watch 4 Pro comes with a 480mAh battery. It is claimed to last for up to 10 days under typical usage and for up to 3 days in eSIM mode. The smartwatch will boot MagicOS 7.2 out of the box.
