The latest buzz in the Indian consumer tech space has been about Honor’s return to the country. There have been speculations about ex-Realme India VP Madhav Sheth joining Honor India as CEO. The company has already trademarked “Honor for Knights” in India and is said to announce the Honor X90 as its first smartphone after its comeback. But as per a new product listing on Amazon India and Honor India’s website, it also has an Android tablet lined up for the launch.
Honor Pad X9 India Launch: Specifications and Features
The Honor Pad X9 listing on the two websites gives us a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming tablet. It is the same tablet that went official globally earlier this month. Its India launch teaser pages have mentioned eight highlights that would make the tablet stand apart in the crowd.
To start off, the Honor Pad X9 will come with an 11.5-inch Honor FullView Display with 2K resolution (2000 x 1200 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate. It will have 86% screen-to-body ratio, 100% sRGB colour gamut support, and 400 nits peak brightness.
It will boast a premium metal unibody design featuring aluminium alloy and have six surround speakers for an ultimate entertainment experience. The tablet is said to weigh 499 grams and measure 6.9mm in thickness. Under the hood, it will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 processor clocked at 2.8GHz and Adreno 610 GPU clocked at 1.26GHz.
The tablet will be available in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It will have an Honor OS Turbo feature that can offer up to 3GB of extended aka virtual RAM. There will be Multi-window support where users can use up to four apps simultaneously. In the camera department, it will have a 5MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The Honor Pad X9 will boot MagicOS based on Android 13 out of the tablet. It will come pre-installed with Google Kids Space. It is a section dedicated to kids with apps, books, and videos to boost their creativity and knowledge. The tablet will be powered by a 7,250mAh battery. It is claimed to deliver up to 13 hours of local video playback with a full charge.
The listing further reveals Honor Pad X9 will come with a free Honor flip cover. It is unknown if the free cover will be available on all units or only as a pre-order bonus. It could also just be a limited-time offer for the first few buyers. The details about the Honor Pad X9 price and release date in India are unknown. Since the Honor X90 is expected to launch sometime in September, we can expect the company to announce both products at the same event.
