Honor Pad5 8-inch and Honor Pad5 10-inch Price in India, Availability, and Offers

The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch comes in two variants as well. The base variant has 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and it comes with a price tag of INR 16,999. The other variant has 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and it comes with a price tag of INR 18,999.

The Honor Pad5 8-inch and the Honor Pad5 10.1-inch will be available starting July 2019 on Flipkart. The exact sale date is yet to be announced.

Honor Pad5 8-inch Specifications

The Honor Pad5 8-inch, as the name suggests, features an 8-inch display with Full HD resolution. The brand hasn’t revealed the display type, but in my opinion, it is an IPS LCD. Like with most other tablets out there, Honor Pad5 8-inch features two speakers in a stereo configuration. In terms of imaging, the Honor Pad5 8-inch has an 8MP camera on either side.

Powering the tablet is the Kirin 710 SoC, and Honor has equipped the tablet with GPU Turbo 2.0 for a better gaming experience. The device runs on Android 9 Pie OS with MagicUI 2.0.1 customization. The tablet is available in two configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Moreover, Honor Pad5 8-inch comes with Dedicated Children Space, with which, you can allow only selected apps to be opened. Weirdly enough, Honor hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of the Pad5 8-inch yet. In terms of connectivity, all we know right now is that the tablet has a single SIM slot with 4G LTE.

Honor Pad5 10.1-inch Specifications

The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch comes with a 10.1-inch screen that has a Full HD resolution. The brand hasn’t revealed the display type of the Honor Pad5 10.1-inch either, but it is most probably an IPS LCD. Similar to the Pad5 8-inch, the Pad5 10.1-inch also comes with two speakers in a stereo configuration, but the speakers on this one are tuned by Harman Kardon. Similar to the Pad5 8-inch, the Pad5 10.1-inch comes with single SIM 4G LTE connectivity. There is no information on other connectivity features at the moment.

Coming to the imaging, anyone would expect the Honor Pad5 10.1-inch to feature better camera hardware than the Honor Pad5 8-inch because the former is costlier. Well, that isn’t the case here. The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch has an 8MP camera at the rear and a 2MP camera at the front. Yup, this tablet has an inferior front-facing camera compared to the more affordable, Honor Pad5 8-inch.

Just like it had with the camera setup, Honor has equipped the Pad5 10.1-inch with an inferior chipset than the chipset in the more affordable, Pad5 8-inch. The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch features the Kirin 659 SoC. The Kirin 659 is slower than the Kirin 710, and it is also less power-efficient than the Kirin 710. What’s even worse is that the tablet comes with Android 8.0 Oreo OS, instead of the newer, Android 9 Pie. The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch is available in two configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The Honor Pad5 10.1-inch too comes with Dedicated Children Space. And Honor hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of this tablet either.
