Android Pie updates are steadily coming on to smartphones across brands. Each manufacturer is trying to roll out the latest version of Android as fast as possible and ensure their customer base is remains loyal. Recently, the Honor View 10 received the Android Pie update in Europe now the Honor Play and Honor 10 are the next in line. The news means now we have four Honor smartphones with the latest update after the Honor Mate 10 Pro received it earlier. Honor Play and Honor 10 Recieve Android Pie Update in Europe

The Honor Play and Honor 10 have started receiving Android Pie-based beta update in Europe. However, there’s no news on when the update would come to other parts of the world including India. With this European update, we can at least gauge on what the latest Android version brings to the Honor devices. The two builds available for the Honor Play versions 9.0.0.15 and 9.0.0.304. On the Honor 10, the build is to be bumped up to 9.0.0.108. The Android Pie-based Beta update on the Honor Play and Honor 10 will give users a chance to test out new features on the devices. The new features include a new simplified UI in EMUI 9.0, as well as a series of nature-inspired new set of Alarms and ringtones.

Android Pie Update on Honor Play and Honor 10: New features on board

The latest update will bring Smartcare AI learning features on the Honor devices. The AI learning features on the devices will help users wake up on time and begin the day. The update also provides a new Password vault options which could store all your necessary passwords and autofill them when needed. A new digital balance tool gets included, which lets users curb on smartphone addiction. As for security features, the latest update will enable users to get alerts from the two devices on potential risks and block malicious operations.

The newest Android Pie update on the Honor Play and Honor 10 will bring optimizations in gaming performance and improve launch speeds on favorite apps. As for when these updates come to the Honor devices in India is now known. Although, now the roll-out has begun in Europe, it could well be expected to arrive in other parts soon. Honor Play and Honor 10: Two Kirin 970 powerhouses

The Honor Play and Honor 10 are two powerful smartphones, run on the Hisilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor. The Honor Play features a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution display. The smartphone comes in two memory configurations of 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage on both variants. The Honor Play features a 16MP+2MP dual camera setup at the rear and sports a 16MP selfie shooter on the front with 3D Portrait Lighting and AI Face Unlock features. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Histen 3d Audio technology only enhance the smartphone, which comes backed with a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support. Currently, the Honor Play runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.2 out of the box.

As for the Honor 10, the phone boasts a reasonable 5.84-inch IPS notched display with 1080×2280 pixels, full HD+ resolution. The Honor 10 comes with a 6GB RAM, and in India, the phone gets sold with 128GB of internal storage. The phone sports a massive 16MP+24MP dual camera set up at the rear with AI Powered features. An impressive 24MP selfie snapper features on the front side, with 4-in-1 Light Fusion technology. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster and Clear Talk. The Honor 10 features a decent 3400mAh battery and currently runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1.
