Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched a new 5G smartphone today in home country China. The smartphone is called the Honor V40 5G. The USP of the handset is an OLED curved display, dual punch-hole camera setup, 50-megapixel main camera, and a lot more among the other. The Vivo V40 5G features a tall and bezel-less display design with curved edges. The handset looks premium with a glass back finish. Here’s a closer look at the price specifications and features of the newly launched Honor V40 5G smartphone.

The Honor V40 in China launched with a starting price of CNY 3,599 (approx Rs 40,620) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is up for grabs at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 45,135). The smartphone is already up for pre-orders in China and it comes in Titanium Silver, Midnight Black, and Rose gold colour shades.

The Honor V40 5G flaunts a 6.72-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone features a curved display with up to 800 nits of brightness with 93.2% screen-to-body ratio. It also has a dual punch-hole cutout which accommodates the front camera setup for selfies.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the octa-core Dimensity 1000+ 7nm processor with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, clubbed with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 4.0 and fuelled by a massive 4000mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge fast charging, 50W wireless charging.

On the optics front, the Honor V40 5G features a rectangular-shaped triple rear camera setup placed at the top left corner of the back panel. The camera module consists of 50-megapixel primary camera with 1/1.56″ RYYB Sony IMX766 sensor + 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera + 2-megapixel macro camera + laser autofocus along with an LED flash. Upfront, it houses a 16-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls.
