Last month, we heard of new Android Pie features making way to Huawei and Honor smartphones such as the Huawei Mate 10, Huawei P20, Honor 10, Honor View 10, and the Honor Play. Recently, Huawei also revealed that Huawei phones in India would also be receiving some specific Made for India features with the update. Honor View 10 Spotted Running Android Pie On Geekbench
The listing has been posted today at 7:19 AM. Going by the Geekbench scores, Android 9.0 Pie build for the View 10 seems to be well optimized. The 1883 single-core and 6624 multi-core scores are both on par with the average scores achieved by Honor View 10 units running Android Oreo. Other than the scores, the listing does not reveal the rollout timeline for the update. While some OEMs like OnePlus and HMD Global have already started pushing Pie updates, we can expect the Honor View 10 to get the taste of Android Pie before the end of this year.
What to Expect from Android Pie Update for Honor View 10
We can expect the latest update to bring Smartcare AI learning features on the Honor View 10. These features will help the users in planning their day as per schedule. Additionally, the update will also be bringing new Password vault that will store passwords and autofill them wherever needed. We will also see a new dashboard called Digital Balance that will allow users to monitor their smartphone usage. Concerning other security features, the latest update will also equip the phone to block malicious operations.
The Android Pie update on the Honor View 10 will also bring improvements in gaming performance and optimize launch speeds for frequently used apps. As we mentioned in the beginning, Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update will also be bringing India-specific features onboard. Huawei has named it an “India-first” approach, the brand’s Indian R&D team is working on India exclusive features such as support for up to 28 Indian languages, a customised calendar that will include Indian holidays, and also deeper integration with Paytm. The company expects these features to improve the brand’s hold in the country.
