Honor has officially launched the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition as the third smartphone in the lineup. It joins the Honor X40 and Honor X40 GT that were announced last year. The new Racing Edition is the same as the vanilla X40 GT but differs in configurations and colour options. Here is a detailed look at the latest Honor smartphone.

The Honor X40 GT Racing Edition is available in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. These are priced at CNY 1,799 (about Rs 20,754) and CNY 1,999 (about Rs 23,061) respectively in China. The smartphone can be purchased in Fantasy Black, Racing Black, and Racing Silver colour options via the official website.

The Honor X40 GT Racing Edition sports a 6.81-inch Full HD+ (2388 x 1080 pixels) TFT LCD punch-hole display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 660 GPU.
The phone has a single 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage options. It also supports RAM expansion where up to 7GB of unused storage space can be utilized as virtual RAM. This essentially gives users access to 19GB RAM.
