ZEE5 has announced the release date of the Kannada comedy movie Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare on its platform. According to the latest information, the movie will be released on the digital giant’s platform on September 15. On July 21, the modestly successful but well-publicized movie Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare opened the floodgates and started drawing large crowds to the cinema halls to watch debutant Nithin Krishnamurthy’s college campus comedy. Despite competing against Hollywood heavyweights like Oppenheimer and Barbie, the movie, which stars a number of new faces on the bloc, broke box office records thanks mostly to its creative promotional tactics. The movie is also released as The Boys Hostel in Telugu.

The movie is a story of one night at a hostel. The movie is shot in cinema verite style meaning with a hand-held camera. The story is about Ajit and his roommates in a hostel. Making a short film is Ajith’s (Prajwal BP) dream, but his roommates (Srivatsa Shyam, Tejas Jayanna, Bharath Vashisht, and Aniruddha) disapprove because they have an exam the following day.

They arrive to discover Manjunath Nayaka, the hostel warden, dead and with a letter accusing them of being the cause of his alleged suicide. With the assistance of their seniors, Genie (Nithin Krishnamurthy), Swami, and their friend, the roomies decide to dispose of the body after a panic attack. What transpires over the night is the crux of the movie.
