HTC is rumoured to launch a new mid-range smartphone. As per rumours, the upcoming HTC phone will launch as part of the company’s U-series. HTC has not confirmed any details about the launch. However, details about the upcoming HTC smartphone have leaked online. A new report has now revealed the live images of the HTC U23 Pro. The photos reveal the front and rear panels of the device. In addition to this, the report also revealed the key specs of the upcoming mid-range smartphone.
Let’s take a look at the HTC U23 Pro design, specifications, features and other details known so far.
HTC U23 Pro: What We KIf the leaked details are to be believed, the So Far
The HTC U23 Pro will feature some value-for-be believed. The phone is likely to debut in limited markets. According to the report, the HTC U23 Pro will have a curved rear panel design. The phone’s grey colour variant has the HTC logo at the centre. Meanwhile, the camera module has a different colour.
The images show that the 23 Pro’s camera module is brown in colour. It houses a quad-camera setup and an LED flash inside the rectangular module. The text on the camera module confirms that the U23 Pro will feature a primary 8MP main camera sensor. In an era when most phones offer dual or triple-camera setups, the U23 will provide an additional sensor. Hopefully, there is a telephoto camera sensor in the mix here. Otherwise, we can expect the 108MP camera to be paired with an ultra-wide camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography.
The phone has a slightly flat frame design. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top. The bottom edge houses the USB Type-C port, a speaker grille and the SIM slot. The right edge of the phone houses the power and volume buttons. The power button seems to be doubling up as a fingerprint scanner.
On the front, there will be a bright AMOLED display. It has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The bezels around the display, although not the thinnest, are fairly narrow. The images also confirm that the phone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A recent Geekbench listing of the phone confirmed the SoC details. However, it also revealed that the phone will offer a 12GB RAM option. This variant, too, is likely to feature 256GB of storage. The U23 Pro scored 933 and 2351 points in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests.
The device is also said to pack a 4600mAh battery. Details about the phone’s fast charging support are under wraps. The U23 Pro will run on the latest Android 13 software and will likely get a layer of HTC’s Sense custom skin on top of Android.
The U23 Pro was spotted on Bluetooth SIG as well with the model numbers 2QC9200, 2QC9100, and 2QCB100. In terms of availability, the U23 Pro might be available in a few markets. These include Taiwan and Japan. There is no word on the phone’s India availability.
