HTC U23 Pro Specifications Revealed Via Geekbench Listing; To Feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC

Although HTC has not been very active the past year when it comes to launching smartphones, it is rumoured to launch a new mid-range smartphone soon. HTC is still in business in a few markets worldwide. In the limited markets where the company serves its customers, HTC might launch a new mid-range smartphone called the U23 Pro. The upcoming HTC smartphone will feature mid-range specs and a powerful Snapdragon 7 series SoC. At the time, the moniker or any other specs of the phone were not known. Now, thanks to a Geekbench listing, some details about the HTC U23 Pro have leaked online.

The Geekbench listing (via) not only reveals the official moniker but also confirms the performance unit details of the phone. Let’s take a look at the HTC U23 Pro specifications, features, and other details known so far.

HTC U23 Pro Launch Seems Imminent Following Geekbench Visit

The upcoming HTC U23 Pro will launch soon in select markets. The device has been spotted on Geekbench, which reveals its key specs. As per the Geekbench listing, the U23 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The octa-core SoC is a generation old and currently sits below the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC in the 7 series lineup. It has a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz for the prime core. There are three performance cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz. For graphics performance, the SoC has an Adreno 644 GPU.

The variant of the U23 Pro listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. It would not be a surprise if the company launches an 8GB RAM variant of the U23 Pro. It is likely to launch with 128GB and 256GB of storage options. The device was spotted running Android 13 out of the box. Further, it scored 933 and 2351 points in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests.

A recent listing on Bluetooth SIG revealed that the phone has the model numbers 2QC9200, 2QC9100, and 2QCB100. The listing further revealed that the U23 Pro will offer support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. The upcoming HTC phone will also support Qualcomm FastConnect 6700.

The U23 Pro is said to feature an AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The device might sport a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. It is also likely to feature a triple-camera setup on the back but the sensor details remain unknown. 

HTC is likely to launch the device in Taiwan in June. There is no word on whether the U23 Pro will make it to other markets. Regarding its India launch, HTC is no longer active in the world’s second-largest smartphone market.
