HTC Wildfire X Launched in India with Helio P22 SoC, Triple Cameras, 10W Fast Charging: Price, Features

The famous smartphone brand, HTC, exited the Indian smartphone market last July. Well, today the brand has re-entered the Indian smartphone market with the launch of the HTC Wildfire X. What is surprising is that this new smartphone isn’t manufactured by HTC, but by a Chinese manufacturer called InOne Smart Technology. At this point, I am not sure if we could even call this an HTC smartphone. Anyway, let us have a look at what the Wildfire X has to offer, and also its price in India.

HTC Wildfire X Price in India, Offers

HTC is offering the Wildfire X in India in two variants. The base variant features 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and it costs INR 10,999. While the second variant comes with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and it has a price tag of INR 13,999.

As a launch offer, HTC is offering INR 1,000 off on both variants. So, you can have the base model for INR 9,999, and the other one for INR 12,999. Of course, this is a limited time offer. The smartphone is available to purchase from Flipkart. There is no information at the moment regarding the offline availability of the smartphone.

HTC Wildfire X Specifications

The HTC Wildfire X sports a 6.2-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution. The display has a V-shaped notch at the top for the front-facing camera. The brand hasn’t provided any information regarding the display protection, which leads us to believe that it doesn’t come with any premium protection such as Corning Gorilla Glass.

Coming to imaging, the HTC Wildfire X has three rear cameras – a 12MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. Cameras on either side can record Full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

Powering this new smartphone is the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, which has eight Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. And as I’ve mentioned above, the device comes in two memory configurations – 3GB + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. On the software side of things, the HTC Wildfire X has Android 9 Pie OS. The brand, however, hasn’t revealed which if the device features the HTC Sense UI custom theme.

The HTC Wildfire X packs a 3300mAh battery supporting 10W fast charging. Connectivity options on this device include dual-SIM, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-FI ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mmm audio jack. For privacy and security, the Wildfire X features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
