It was only recently that Huawei announced the launch of the company’s latest ‘Enjoy’  series device in the form of the Enjoy Z 5G. The Chinese smartphone major, however, appears to have more Z-series handsets up its sleeve. We know this thanks to a recent Weibo post by a popular Chinese tech blogger. According to the post, this new handset will be christened ‘Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus’. While this is not the first time that the name Enjoy 20 Plus has appeared on the Internet, what we did not know until now was a prospective launch or announcement date for the device. The Weibo post claims that the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus sill be officially launched later this month on June 24.

As for the specifications of the phone, the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus is rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor. This SoC, as you might be aware, is a mid-range chipset that is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and offers comparable processing power to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G. The Dimensity 800, like many of its competitors, is also 5G ready. The phone is likely to be offered in 6GB and 8GB RAM options with 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The device is also rumored to feature a 4,200mAh battery that will support 22.5-watt fast charging.

While we do not yet know the size of display used on the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus, what we do know is that it is an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels that supports 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. That being said, there have been previous reports about this panel being a standard 60Hz panel. There is still no information if the display uses a traditional notch for the front camera or if it gets a punch-hole or a pop-up camera design. However, looking at the resolution, we see the likelihood of the device featuring a pop-up camera. Also to be noted is the fact that its predecessor – the Huawei Enjoy 10 Plus also featured a pop-up selfie camera. The handset will also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As for the camera hardware, previous leaks have revealed that the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus will get a 16MP front-facing camera that uses the Sony IMX471 sensor. The quad rear camera setup includes a 48MP primary camera (Sony IMX586), a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and twin 2MP sensors. Recent reports, including the most recent Weibo post, however, only talk about a triple camera array.

Previous leaks have also indicated that prices for the two variants of the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus.

  • Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus 6GB + 128GB – CNY 1899 ($268) – INR 20,000
  • Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2199 ($311) – INR 23,000

Anyway, we should have more information surrounding this new handset in the next few days.
