Huawei Enjoy 9 with Snapdragon 450 SoC, Dual Rear Camera Setup, 3900mAh Battery Makes Its Way On TENAA

The midranger is expected to cost around INR 15,500 and now that it has been spotted on TENAA, it might be launched soon.

The Huawei Enjoy 9, the Plus variant which was launched a few weeks ago, has now shown up on TENAA. Although, Huawei has been making waves with its premium smartphones recently, the Chinese manufacturer also cranks out pretty decent mid-rangers. The Enjoy series is known for being affordable and providing top class features at the same time and going by the TENAA listing, we will see one more phone from the series this year.

Huawei Enjoy 9 Expected Specifications

Per the leaked specifications, the Huawei Enjoy 9 will come with a gigantic 6.26-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720. Unlike the Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus and most Huawei smartphones, this one does not get its firepower from the home-brewed Kirin processor. The company has instead gone for a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset. The phone would apparently be available in 3GB and 4GB of RAM, and 32GB and 64GB of internal storage. The onboard memory is seemingly expandable up to 512GB with a MicroSD card. According to previous leaks, it would be a dual SIM smartphone.

As depicted in the attached photographs, the Huawei Enjoy 9 has a dual rear camera system, which is vertically aligned. It is AI-infused, which means we can expect the 13MP and 2MP lenses to churn out some pretty decent pictures. There is a very tiny notch on the front which houses the 8MP front camera. The phone seems to have minimum bezels, and the small notch has greatly increased the screen estate. All the physical keys can be seen on the right-hand side of the phone, while the SIM card tray is on the left.

Huawei Enjoy 9

The Huawei Enjoy 9 will reportedly run Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top, and it will pack in a huge 4000mAh battery. The TENAA listing has also mentioned that the phone will measure 158.92 x 76.91 x 8.1 mm and it will weigh 168 grams.

The listing hasn’t mentioned a fingerprint scanner, and the attached pictures don’t show one either. This is in line with a previously leaked prototype image that indicated that the phone would not have a fingerprint sensor. Apparently, the 3.5-mm headphone jack would be retained, and the phone will also come with a micro USB connector. The Chinese certification site CCC had previously indicated that the phone would come with a 10W (5V, 2A) charger.

Huawei Enjoy 9 Launch Date

The global variant of the phone, bearing the model number DUB-LX3, had passed FCC just a few days ago. The global version would most likely be called the Y7 Prime (2019). On the other hand, the Chinese variants have the model number DUB-TL00 and DUB-AL00. The TENAA certification indicates that the phone will be launched soon, and we may witness that happening before the end of the year.

The Huawei Enjoy 9 will presumably be available in the colors Coral Red, Aurora Purple, Aurora Blue, and Magic Night Black. The 4GB RAM variant of the phone is expected to cost around INR 15,500. It will most likely land in China first before arriving in other countries. The phone will compete with the likes of the OPPO A7, Realme C1 and the Samsung Galaxy J8.
