Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design Launching in India on November 27
Huawei will formally launch the Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design flagship smartphones in India at an event in New Delhi on November 27. The 20 RS Porsche Design, as some of you may be aware, is a luxury phone designed in partnership with Porsche Design. While it is more or less identical to the Mate 20 Pro in terms of the hardware specifications, the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design comes with a more premium design. The glass back of the phone features two pieces of handcrafted leather with artisan textures on either side, while the Porsche Design logo is at the center. It also comes with a customized user-interface.
The Mate 20 Pro is expected to be priced at somewhere around INR 75,000 in India, while the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design could be priced around INR 1,40,000. While the Mate 20 Pro comes in two memory configurations, Huawei may only launch the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India. The Mate 20 RS Porsche Design also comes in two memory configurations: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage. Both smartphones are expected to be launched as Amazon-exclusives in India.

Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 20 Pro is equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display that offers 1440 x 3120 pixels Quad HD+ resolution along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. As you would expect from a 2018 flagship, the Mate 20 Pro display is HDR10 compliant and covers the DCI-P3 color space. Under the hood, Mate 20 Pro is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 7nm octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.6GHz with a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU handling the graphics processing. In the memory department, it comes in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
One of its main selling points is the impressive 40MP + 20MP + 8MP triple camera setup at the rear with Leica optics. On the front is a 24MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. Rest of the smartphone’s key features include 3D facial recognition, an In-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, 4200mAh battery with 40W fast charging, wireless charging support and an IR blaster. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out of the box.
As mentioned earlier, the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is virtually identical to the Mate 20 Pro when it comes to the hardware specifications and key features. The only major difference is in the memory department. While the Mate 20 Pro is available in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants, the Mate 20 RS Porsche Design comes in 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage variants.
