The company has not revealed the pricing of the latest 5G smartphone, however, it is available for pre-bookings in China. The phone is available in four different colours including Space Silver, Emerald Green, Cosmic Purple, and Black. There are two other variants with leather finish: Vegan Leather Forest Green and Vegan Leather Orange. There is no information, whether the smartphone will be available for purchase in other countries.

The biggest highlight of the Mate 30E Pro 5G is the new Kirin 990E chipset. The latest processor from Huawei comes with two Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at up to 2.8GHz. Then there are two Cortex-A76s cores clocked at up to 2.36GHz and four Cortex A55s cores clocked at 1.95GHz. On the GPU front, there is a Mali-G76 GPU. the latest chipset is build using 7nm+ process.
That said, the smartphone looks similar to the Mate 30 Pro 5G that was launched earlier this year. The phone comes with a Leica-branded quad-rear camera with 40MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, 40MP wide-angle lens with f/1.6 and OIS, and 8MP tertiary sensor with f/2.4 lens. There is also a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for depth sensing.
On the front, there is a 32MP sensor paired with a 3D depth sensor. The Mate 30E Pro 5G comes with 12GB of RAM and 256Gb of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB. The handset comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also features an IP68 rating, making it water and dust resistant.
The phone runs on EMUI 11 and packs 4,500mAh battery. The device supports 40W SuperCharge fast charging along with 27W fast wireless charging support. In terms of connectivity, you get 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR), NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, colour temperature, gyroscope, hall sensor, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
