Huawei Mate 40 Pro tops the AI Benchmark charts by a considerable margin

The newly launched Huawei Mate 40 Pro has beaten all the previously launched smartphones in the AI Benchmark test by a fair margin.

Huawei recently unveiled its Huawei Mate 40 series of smartphones. The Huawei Mate 40 lineup consists of the vanilla Huawei Mate 40, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus, and Huawei Mate 40 RS Edition. Amongst these, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has today been spotted on the AI Benchmark platform, wherein it has defeated all the smartphones that were already there and has occupied the first spot. As seen in the picture above, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro (with 8GB of RAM) has pulled off an AI score of 216.6, which is a considerable leap over the second device on the list, which happens to be the Redmi K30 Ultra. The third place is occupied by the iQOO Z1 smartphone which, like the Redmi K30 Ultra, runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G mobile platform. Clearly, Huawei’s latest 5nm architecture-based mobile processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 9000 has outperformed all the other processors, at least on the AI Benchmarking platform, and at least on paper.

As far as the specifications and features of the device are concerned, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro sports a 6.76-inch Flex OLED panel with a resolution of 2,376 x 1,080 pixels. The display of the device has curved edges and comes with a dual punch-hole cutout for the selfie cameras. The device has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Speaking of cameras, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro sports a quadruple rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture, a 20MP ultra-wide cine lens with f/2.4 aperture, an 8MP periscopic lens with 10x zoom and a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and 17x optical zoom. Plus, there is a ToF sensor as well. At the front, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a 13MP primary lens and a depth sensor.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro sports a 4,400mAh battery, which has provision for up to 66W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port and 50W wireless fast charging.
