A few days ago, our source, Ishan Agarwal, revealed that Huawei would launch the MediaPad M5 Lite tablet in India soon. And we now have official confirmation regarding the launch. Flipkart has put up a poster of the MediaPad M5 Lite on its website, confirming that the tablet will launch in India.

You can see the poster under Big Billion Days section, which hints that the MediaPad M5 Lite will be launched in India during Big Billion Days. For those who do not know, Big Billion Days is Flipkart’s yearly sale, where the brand offers products at a discounted price. The sale is set to go live on 29th September and end on 4th October. You can expect the MediaPad M5 Lite to launch in that period.

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite is not a new device; the tablet made its debut in China last year. And it is currently on sale in a few countries. Here are the complete specifications of the tablet, and also its expected price in India.

Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite Specifications

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite has a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution, giving you a pixel density of 224 PPI. Bezels around the display are quite thin, and there is a physical home button below the screen. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Both of them can record Full HD videos.

Powering the tablet is the Kirin 659 SoC, which is an outdated chipset. And therefore, don’t expect the tablet to offer a strong performance that smartphones with modern chipset offer nowadays. What is even disappointing is that you get two years old OS – the Android 8.0 Oreo. Anyway, the MediaPad M5 Lite is available in two memory configurations internationally – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The tablet comes with a 7500mAh battery. Other features of the tablet include quad stereo speakers, fingerprint sensor, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, and 18W fast charging.
