Update [July 24, 2019 @ 5:15 PM IST]:

Shortly after Huawei revealed the Huawei Nova 5i Pro launch date today, we now bring you exclusive renders of the upcoming Nova series phone in three colours along with specifications. Now, there wasn’t any shortage of leaks pertaining to the quad-camera phone but these renders give us the clearest look of the upcoming handset. Huawei will make the device official on July 26th in China.

Coming to the renders, there will be a Green/Teal shade, the familiar gradient Blue, and a plain Black. As far as specifications are concerned, the Huawei Nova 5i Pro is likely to feature a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ display with a hole-punch design. It will be powered by a Kirin 810 SoC and the base variant should start with a 6GB RAM +128GB ROM model although promo material has hinted at an 8GB version as well. The rear quad-cameras comprise a primary 48MP sensor (f/1.8), an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a couple of 2MP shooters placed in a squircle. One of them is a depth sensor while the other is a macro lens which we’ve seen from Huawei a number of times this year.

The front camera for which low-light selfie images were teased on Weibo yesterday is a 32MP (f/2.0) sensor and likely incorporates some kind of night mode to greatly enhance shooting in dim-light scenarios. Rounding off the package is a 4,000mAh battery

Earlier [July 10, 2019]: Huawei Nova 5i Pro (SPN-AL00/TL00) Appears on TENAA Revealing Full Specifications

In June, Huawei refreshed its Nova series with three models – the Nova 5i, Nova 5, and the high-end Nova 5 Pro. However, it was also revealed later on that the Nova 5i has a Pro version with a speculated model number SPN-AL00/TL00. Apparently, the handset was listed on TENAA with its full specifications recently. Interestingly, the same model number is attributed to the Huawei Mate 30 Lite which will be a part of the Mate 30 series later this year. Whatever the marketing name for this model will be, we have full specifications listed below.

Coming back to the TENAA listing, the SPN-AL00 is listed with the following dimensions – 156.1×73.9×8.3(mm). The screen is described as a 6.26-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2340×1080p powered by a 3,900mAh battery. The processor is listed as a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and there will be 6GB/8GB RAM variants while storage options include 128GB/256GB. The handset will have a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. It will work in tandem with an 8MP shooter and a couple of 2MP sensors. The front selfie shooter will be a 32MP sensor. Software-wise, the Nova 5i Pro will run Android 9.0 Pie skinned with EMUI. As for the SPN-TL00, it’s dimensions and specifications are the same as the above model. Sadly though, TENAA has still not uploaded images of the model in which case the design aspect of the phone would also have become completely clear. We do expect that to happen in the coming days though.

As for previous leaks, the Nova 5i Pro is believed to come with a square camera cutout similar to the Mate 20 series. This was seen in a leaked schematic by tipster Evan Blass after the Nova 5 series launch. The front has a hole-punch design which is a departure from its siblings that flaunt a tear-drop notch display. The Huawei Nova 5i Pro is rumoured to launch in August and while there’s no such official indication, it certainly seems to be in advanced stages of a commercial launch.
