Huawei is going to announce the Honor V30 5G smartphone (alongside the alleged Honor Watch Magic 2) on November 26. A day before that, the company will unveil its upcoming MatePad tablet which is most likely going to be the Huawei MatePad Pro. These, however, are not the only devices the company will end the year with. As it turns out, we will get to see the Huawei Nova 6 smartphone get launched on December 6. The company has recently made the news official.

Huawei Nova 6 will launch on December 5 in China: Specifications known

The launch date has got confirmed courtesy of the invitation poster that the company has recently posted on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The poster does not reveal anything about the device other than the launch date and the fact that there will be a dual punch hole camera setup coming up with it.

As far as the specifications of the device go, the Huawei Nova 6 will have support for 5G. However, there will be an LTE variant as well. The prime highlight of the device will be a dual punch-hole selfie camera setup which is placed at the top left corner of the device. There will be one regular and one ultrawide sensor at the front (the word in the market is that the ultrawide sensor will have a 105-degree lens). At the back, we are likely going to get a 60MP IMX686 sensor alongside a dedicated macro camera and an ultrawide lens. Going by the rendered image that was leaked earlier, the Nova 6 will have a glossy rear panel.

Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 6 is tipped to be powered with the HiSilicon’s Kirin 990 5G chipset which could be could be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The chipset will have an integrated 5G modem. It is not confirmed as to whether or not there will be scope for further expansion.

In yet another promotional video, we have got a glimpse of the front of the device. As seen in the image, there is a considerable amount of chin at the bottom of the device. That, however, does not have to necessarily be the case with the end-product. Nevertheless, we can see the volume rocker on the right side of the device. In all likelihood, the Huawei Nova 6 will feature a USB Type-C charging port. Furthermore, the recent 3C certification the device has got has suggested that the Huawei Nova 6 will feature 40W of wired charging.
