
After a series of leaks and rumors, Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Nova 8 SE at an event in China. The smartphone packs a large OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity SoC, 8GB RAM, 64MP quad rear cameras, and a whopping 66W fast charging. Huawei Nova 8 SE: Price
The Huawei Nova 8 SE is priced at RMB 2,599 (approx Rs. 29,100) for the 4G variant. While the 5G ready variant at RMB 2,699 (approx Rs. 30,220) costs 100 bucks more. The phone will be available inMagic Night Black, Deep Sea Blue, Silver Moon Stars, and Snow Clear Sky color variant. It will be available for purchase starting November 11 in China.
Huawei Nova 8 SE: Specifications and Features
Huawei Nova 8 SE has a design that is reminiscent of the iPhone 12, be it the squircle camera island, or the flat edges. The smartphone packs a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 2,400×1,080 pixel resolution. The OLED display houses a front selfie shooter inside a waterdrop notch along with an optical in-display scanner.
Under-the-hood, the smartphone packs a MediaTek Dimensity processor along with 8GB RAM, and 128GB onboard storage. Huawei has launched two different variants of the Huawei Nova 8 SE. The cheaper variant packs Dimensity 720 SoC, while the other variant sports Dimensity 800U SoC with 5G connectivity. However, the Dimensity 720 version of the Huawei Nova 8 SE comes with LTE connectivity and lacks 5G connectivity. The smartphone boots Android 10 based EMUI 10.1 out of the box, but similar to other recently launch Huawei devices, it lacks Google services.
Huawei Nova 8 SE packs a quad-rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor. The primary sensor on the smartphone has f/1.9 aperture, which gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle with f/2.4 lens. The Nova 8 SE packs a couple of 2MP sensors with f/2.4 aperture, of which one is a depth sensor, while the other one is a macro sensor. The smartphone comes with zoom capabilities and supports 10x digital zoom and can records up to 4K resolution videos. For the selfies, there is a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture on the front.
The smartphone is powered by a 3,800mAh battery unit which supports whopping 66W wired fast-charging. There is a USB Type-C port on the device for data transfer and charging. On the connectivity side, it offers 5G (MediaTek Dimensity 800U variant only), 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. The smartphone weighs just 178grams and is 7.46mm thick.
