
Huawei has finally launched its Huawei Nova 8 series smartphones in China. The Huawei Nova 8 consists of two smartphones – the vanilla Huawei Nova 8 and the Huawei Nova 8 Pro. The devices are currently launched in China and the brand is yet to announce any sort of global availability. The Huawei Nova 8 is priced at CNY 3,299 for the 8GB/128GB variant and CNY 3,699 for the 8GB/256GB variant. The Huawei Nova 8 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 3,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and CNY 4,399 for the 8GB/256GB variant.

Huawei Nova 8
Starting with the Huawei Nova 8 smartphone, the device comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Coming to the dimensions, the Huawei Nova 8 measures 160.12 x 75.1 x 7.64mm and weighs in at 169 grams.
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 8 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 985 processor, which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. Sadly enough, there is no scope for storage expansion when it comes to the Huawei Nova 8 series. The device boots Android 10-based EMUI 11 skin out of the box.
In terms of photography, the Huawei Nova 8 comes with a quadruple rear camera setup – 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP and a 32MP selfie snapper at the front. Coming to the battery of the device, the Huawei Nova 8 sports a rather small 3,800mAh battery with support for a whopping 66W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.

When it comes to the Huawei Nova 8 Pro, the device has a 6.72-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 300Hz touch sampling rate. Like its vanilla counterpart, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro also features an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Powering the Huawei Nova 8 Pro is an octa-core Kirin 985 processor, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. As far as software is concerned, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro boots Android 10 OS out of the box. The device also has graphene heat sinks for optimum performance.
In terms of cameras, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro features a dual front camera – 32MP + 16MP and a quadruple rear camera – 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP.
Coming to the battery of the device, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
