A couple of days ago, Huawei announced the launch of its brand new Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro smartphones in China. The company will launch both devices on March 26, 2020. Ahead of the launch, both Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro have been spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification website, which not only confirms their monikers, but also hints that the global launch of the Huawei P40 series of smartphones might not be too far away. Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro: Everything We Know So Far

As per the listing, the Huawei P40 (with the model number ANA-NX9) and Huawei P40 Pro (with the model number ELS-NX9) will be 5G-enabled handsets. Other than the monikers and the presence of 5G, the NBTC certification does not explicitly reveal any other specifications of the devices that we are talking about.

That being said, we already have an idea of some of the specifications. Notably, the Huawei P40 device will come with 22.5W fast charging, while the Huawei P40 Pro will feature 40W fast charging, as confirmed by the Chinese 3C certification website both the devices were spotted on a little while ago. Under the hood, both Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro are said to be powered by the company’s in-house flagship Kirin 910 5G chipset. The Huawei P40 will likely feature a dual punch-hole selfie snapper and a triple rear camera setup, which will be aligned inside a rectangular module. The three cameras could most likely be a combination of a primary sensor, an ultra-wide camera, and a ToF lens.

Meanwhile, the Huawei P40 Pro is said to come with a curved display. The rear camera module in the Pro variant will feature an additional camera, which will most likely be a periscopic unit.
