Huawei is scheduled to launch its camera-centric P40 series smartphones on March 26. We have been hearing a lot about these upcoming smartphone series for a while now. Folks over at 91 Mobiles had posted the first-ever renders of the handset a whole ago. Back then, we were still not aware of some of the key specifications of the P40 and the P40 Pro. Now, young leakster Ishan Agarwal in a Twitter post has revealed most of the important specifications of both these handsets — the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro. These include the display size, the camera specs, and details about the fast charging technology. We already knew that the Huawei P40 Pro is a 5G ready smartphone.
Let’s take a closer look.
Huawei P40 Pro 5G Camera Specifications
Huawei’s P-Series devices have always put the camera specifications at the front. The P40 Pro will be no exception. From what we know so far, the Huawei P40 Pro will come with a quad-camera setup at the rear, which Huawei will reportedly refer to as the Leica Ultra Vision quad cameras. The primary camera will reportedly use a 50 MP sensor while the secondary camera gets a 40MP sensor. The third camera will reportedly use a 12MP sensor. The fourth sensor will be exclusively used for depth sensing. What was also revealed is that the telephoto camera will come with support for 50x SuperSensing Zoom and enhanced image stabilization capabilities. Then there is a talk of the phone getting something known as the Huawei XD Fusion Engine that reportedly enhances the overall image quality. At the front, the phone gets a dual-camera setup, including a 32MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

Huawei P40 Pro Other Specifications
The Huawei P40 Pro will reportedly get a 6.58-inch AMOLED display with curved edges. The handset will come powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 990 5G ready chipset. We still do not have all the information regarding the RAM and storage versions of the phone. Word is that the phone will also feature a 4,200 mAh battery and will support 40W fast charging. The ongoing ban against Huawei will also mean that the phone will not come with Google Services preloaded.
Huawei P40 specifications
As for the Huawei 040, what we know is that this handset will be smaller in size compared to the ‘Pro’ model and will get a 6.1-inch display with a single punch hole camera at the front where the 32 MP camera will be located. At the rear, the P40 will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, a 16MP secondary, and a third 8MP camera. The Huawei P40 will reportedly come with a 3,800 mAh battery, which we feel is on the lower side. The handset could also support 27W fast charging. Other specifications of this device remain under wraps for now. However, we should get a clear idea about these two devices in the next few days.
