As you might be already aware, the P40 series lineup consists of three smartphones — the Huawei P40, the Huawei P40 Pro and the Huawei P40 Pro Plus. Among the publications that have reviewed the P40 Pro includes DXOMark. In case you weren’t aware, DXOMark is a benchmark score that is awarded to phones after the folks at DXOMark thoroughly test them. It claims to be a benchmarking tool to asses the image and audio quality for modern smartphones.
Ever since the introduction of the DXOMARK Mobile score in 2012, smartphone brands across the globe have touted this as a measure of the smartphones’ camera prowess. For the past few years, it has become a tradition of sort for Huawei’s P-Series devices to top the DXOMark scores every time a new product is announced. This year too is no exception. DXOMark recently published a detailed camera review if the Huawei P40 Pro assessing its camera capabilities. The P40 Pro managed to score 128 points in the DXOMark rating system — ending up beating a bunch of camera phones that range from the recently introduced OPPO Find X2 to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. With its score of 128, the Huawei P40 Pro also tops the DXOMark scores as of today.
The P40 Pro, as you might be aware, gets a quad-camera system at the back that consists of a primary 50MP Quad-Bayer sensor, a secondary 40MP sensor that is mated to an ultra-wide-angle lens, a third 12MP telephoto camera, and a ToF sensor for depth sensing.
