Huawei is reportedly in the works to launch its next flagship, dubbed the Huawei P40 smartphone soon. So far, the details surrounding the device were pretty scarce. Well, not anymore. The recently leaked unofficial renders of the Huawei P40 smartphone give us a peek as to how the device is going to look like. Let’s have a look at the leaked renders and the specifications of the Huawei P40 smartphone.
Huawei P40 Leaked Renders Suggest a Dual Selfie Camera Setup and a Triple Rear Camera Setup
The render image of the Huawei P40 is a result of an exclusive report by 91Mobiles. If we consider the image to be legitimate, the Huawei P40 will sport a dual punch-hole camera display located in the top left corner of the screen. Speaking of the cameras, the Huawei P40 will feature a triple rear camera setup, including a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a ToF sensor. The display itself will be curved around the edges, which is nothing new, as the Huawei P30 series also featured the same. The addition of the dual-punch hole setup, however, necessitates more screen estate at the top. The screen size of the device is tipped to be somewhere around 6.1-inch to 6.2-inch. At the bottom of the device, we can see a USB Type-C charging port and the speaker grille. The right side of the device makes room for the power button, as well as the volume keys. It is not too difficult to assume that the Huawei P40 series will ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack considering the fact that its predecessor series did the same.
Moving on, the Huawei P40 smartphone will make room for the company’s in-house Kirin 990 chipset at its heart. The processor has support for 5G connectivity, by the way. On the software side, the Huawei P40 will run on EMUI 10 built on Android 10, but it won’t have support for Google Play Services.
As for the Pro variant of the lineup, the Huawei P40 Pro is tipped to feature a better camera setup, notably a periscopic lens with 10X optical zoom. The rumors mill suggests that the device will have a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera, a 20MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 12MP periscopic telephoto lens. On the chipset front, the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro devices are going to be more or less the same.
As of now, this is all we know about the upcoming Huawei P30 lineup of smartphones, but we are sure to get more intel in the coming days. What are your thoughts? Don’t forget to share in the comments section below.
