Huawei introduced its entry-level Y6 Pro (2019) Android smartphone last month. While the smartphone isn’t very impressive in terms of the hardware specifications, it does feature an attractive design with a waterdrop notch at the top of the display and textured leather finish back. The company may soon launch another new Y-series entry-level smartphone, as the Y6 Prime (2019) has now made an appearance on Google’s Android Enterprise catalog.

Huawei Y6 Prime (2019) Specifications

The render of the Huawei Y6 Prime (2019) on the Android Enterprise website is identical to the one used in the listing for the Y6 Pro (2019). While this could simply be a mistake, there is also a possibility of the Y6 Prime (2019) being identical to the Y6 Pro (2019) in terms of design. The Android Enterprise listing reveals the smartphone will feature a 6.1-inch sized display. Similar to the Y6 Pro (2019), we expect the Y6 Prime (2019) to come with a 720 x 1560 HD+ resolution panel offering a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Moving on to the memory department, the listing tells us the upcoming entry-level Android smartphone will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the software front, the smartphone will debut with the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Needless to say, you will find Huawei’s custom EMUI 9.0 running on top.

Going by the Android Enterprise listing, the Huawei Y6 Prime (2019) will be largely identical to the Y6 Pro (2019) in terms of hardware specifications as well. The only major difference will be the presence of a fingerprint sensor on the Y6 Prime (2019). In comparison, the Y6 Pro (2019) only supports face unlock. We can expect the entry-level Android smartphone to be quietly launched in a select few markets sometime next month.
