The movie was also a comeback for the late actress Sridevi in Southern cinema and her looks in the movie were the talk of the town at the time of the movie’s release. Official Trailer and Plot
The story takes place in the fictional state of Bhetala Desam, which is governed by the villainous Yavvana Rani (Sridevi). She imprisons the sixty nearby villages and tortures everyone.
Manoharudu (Vijay), on the other hand, is a courageous fighter from one of the villages that are under Yavvana Rani’s dominion. Manoharudu eventually develops feelings for Mandara Malli (Shruthi Haasan), a childhood friend. When Malli is abducted by some goons from Bhetala Desam, things take a bad turn.
Manohardu, unhappy, decides to take matters into his own hands and enter the fantasy realm to save his lady love. Will he be prosperous? What challenges does he encounter along the way? The rest of the plot is made up of that.
The movie stars Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Sridevi, Kichcha Sudeep, Thambi Ramaiah, Robo Shankar, Ali, and Prabhu. The movie is directed by Chimbu Deven and produced by Shibu Thameens, PT Selvakumar. The music of the movie is composed by Devi Sri Prasad
Reception
The movie was not received well upon its release and even the IMDb has given the movie a rating of 4.3. Despite the grandness of the movie, comeback for Sridevi, the movie did not perform well at the box office.
