SuperGaming has just announced their next big project and it looks like it is a battle royale game called Indus. The studio has confirmed that the game will be available for Mobile, PC, and Console and is currently scheduled for a 2022 release date.

Pune-based studio SuperGaming aims to bring their take on Indian culture with a futuristic twist to Indus, which looks like a fairly interesting prospect. The studio is focusing on delivering deep lore and a distinct sense of place with Indus, along with guns and gameplay systems expected from modern battle royale titles.

So far, information seems a little scarce about the gameplay, but the studio will be sharing the inner workings of the development process over the next few weeks.

The Indo-Futuristic setting sounds interesting and Indian gamers will undoubtedly be excited to see what kind of environments and lore they’ll be able to explore within the game. From the lone screenshot released by the studio, it looks like parts of the map could take inspiration from real-life locations in India.

SuperGaming has had a number of hits in the past, especially with games with a focus on social and multiplayer interactions. Mobile FPS MaskGun recently crossed the 60 million player-mark, which is a major milestone. Social deduction game Silly Royale has also been a runaway hit on the back of wildly popular game modes such as Squid Royale, inspired by the hit Netflix show, Squid Game.

It will be interesting to see what SuperGaming has in store come launch time with Indus. Another thing of note is that, much like other SuperGaming titles, the studio has confirmed that Indus will receive post-launch support.
