Infinix has launched a new fitness tracker in India – the Band 5. It comes as the successor to the Infinix XBand 3 which was launched in the Indian market back in May. The most significant improvement that the Infinix Band 5 brings over its predecessor is that it has a larger screen. The rest of the specifications of both fitness trackers are nearly the same.
Infinix Band 5: Price in India
The Infinix Band 5 comes with a price tag of INR 1,799. According to the brand, the fitness tracker is scheduled to go on sale starting 3rd December via Flipkart. The brand is offering the Band 5 in three color options – black, blue, and red.
Infinix Band 5: Specifications
The Infinix Band 5 features a 0.96-inch touchscreen IPS LCD with 160 x 80 pixels resolution. The default watch face can show you time, day, date, weather statistics, remaining battery, and live heart-rate tracking. The brand hasn’t revealed if the fitness tracker has an option to change the watch face, but I am hoping that there will be such a feature.
Moving on to the fitness tracking, the Infinix Band 5 has a heart-rate monitor with a continuous heart-rate tracking feature. The fitness band can track daily step count, distance covered, and calories burned. The brand, however, hasn’t revealed what other kinds of exercises and activities could the Infinix Band 5 track. Anyway, there is a sleep monitoring feature built into the Infinix Band 5.
Infinix claims that the Band 5 can last up to 20 days on a single charge, which is similar to what other fitness trackers in the same price range offer. According to the brand, the Band 5 has a ‘regular USB charging port for greater user convenience,’ whatever that means. The Infinix Band 5 is IP67 water and dust resistant.
The fitness tracker is compatible with Android and iOS devices. To pair the Infinix Band 5 to your smartphone, you will have to use the Infinix Life2.0 app, which is available on App Store, as well as, Play Store. Using this app, you can control the Band 5, as well as change its settings. You can also monitor the fitness data tracked by the Band 5 in the Life2.0 app.
