Infinix Note 11 Series Gets New Update with Extended RAM Feature

Infinix launched the Infinix Note 11 and the Infinix Note 11S smartphones in India last month. Both these devices come powered by MediaTek chipset. These devices ship with a 5,000mAh battery and they offer 33W fast charging support. In a recent development now, Infinix has started seeding out a new software update to the Infinix Note 11 series. The latest OTA software update for the Infinix Note 11 series brings in the Extended RAM feature, which provides a temporary boost in performance. As per the details shared by Infinix, the new software update adds up to 3GB of additional RAM to the Note 11S.

New OTA Update Brings Extended RAM Feature For Infinix Note 11 Series

Upon installing the new software update on your Infinix Note 11 4GB/6GB RAM model, users will be able to get 1GB additional RAM. The Extended RAM feature will allow users to run more apps simultaneously and quickly switch between apps without lag. The Infinix Note 11S 8GB RAM variant will get 3GB RAM additional support as mentioned above. This new feature works by utilizing the phone’s ROM when the RAM is not sufficient to ensure smooth performance.

As per Infinix, the Extended RAM feature will get enabled when users will run more apps simultaneously on their smartphones. Additionally, the Extended RAM feature won’t comprise battery life by much. With this new feature, the Infinix Note 11s users will be able to run up to 20 apps simultaneously, compared to the 9 apps, which used to run earlier without the feature. The company also mentions that the startup speed of apps increased is increased by up to 60 percent and games loaded much faster with the new software update.

The Infinix Note 11S features UFS 2.2 flash memory. The UFS 2.2 flash storage provides faster storage speeds than traditional UFS 2.1, including an 8% increase in random write speed and 80% in sequential write speed.
