Infinix Note 12 Series to Come With MediaTek Helio G99 SoC

Infinix, last month, introduced its Note 12 series in India as well as global markets. The Infinix Note 12 series, as of now, consists of four devices – Note 12i, Note 12, Note 12 Turbo, and Note 12 VIP. Out of these, the Note 12 and the Note 12 Turbo are already available in the Indian market. Now, it appears that the brand will soon add a new device to the lineup. Infinix took it to Twitter to share that it will soon introduce a new smartphone under the Note 12 series.

The brand also shared that the upcoming Note 12 series device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Take a look at the brand’s social media post.

The upcoming Note 12 series device will be the first handset to feature a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The Helio G99 was recently announced and is manufactured on TSMC’s 6nm process. It makes use of two Cortex-A76 performance cores (clocked at 2.2GHz) and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores (clocked at 2.05GHz). The chipset brings with it an integrated Mali G57 GPU.

The existing Note 12 series devices are also powered by MediaTek Helio processors. The Note 12 Turbo and the Note 12 VIP are powered by MediaTek Helio G96 processor. Whereas, the Note 12 and Note 12i sport MediaTek Helio G88 and Helio G85 chipsets respectively. This also suggests that the upcoming device will be the most powerful device under the brand’s Note 12 lineup.

Infinix Note 12 VIP: Specifications and Features

As of now, the Infinix Note 12 VIP is the brand’s top-of-the-line offering. The handset features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a centered punch-hole notch. As mentioned above, the handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

The Note 12 VIP flaunts a 108MP primary camera. Accompanying the high-resolution sensor is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a dual-tone LED flash. It relies on a 16MP shooter for video calls and selfies. The handset is backed by a 4500mAh battery unit and 120W fast charging support. It also offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which doubles as the power button.
