Infinix S5 Lite with Punch-hole Display, 4000mAh Battery with Fast Charging Feature to Soon Launch in India

Infinix is soon going to launch a new smartphone dubbed the Infiix S5 Lite which will be a toned-down version of the previously launched Infinix S5. The product page for the same is now live on the Indian e-commerce website Flipkart. Though the specifications of the device are not revealed officially yet, they are pretty much known already courtesy of a leaked specs sheet. As per the leak, the Infinix S5 Lite will come with a punch-hole display and will pack in a big 4,000mAh battery that will support fast charging. No doubt, the device is turning out to be pretty interesting as it is priced at just INR 7,999. The Infinix S5, on the other hand, would cost you INR 8,999.

Infinix S5 Lite specifications

The Infinix S5 Lite borrows most of its specifications, features, and even looks from its elder brother. There are some areas wherein the company has cut corners in order to cut down the prices.

As per the reports, the Infinix S5 Lite sports a 6.6-inch HD+ Infinity-O display which will give out a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Because of a punch-hole and a pretty thin chin, the Infinix S5 Lite has managed to achieve a respectable screen-to-body ratio of 90.5%. Again, this is nothing too fancy, but we have to keep in mind that the Infinix S5 Lite is priced way below 10K and this is a price segment wherein we don’t expect a lot from the devices.

Under the hood, the Infinix S5 Lite is powered with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset which is coupled with an IMG GE8320 650MHz GPU, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. If 64GB of storage does not suffice your needs, you can bump up the storage of the Infinix S5 Lite by up to 128GB with the help of an external SD card.

On the camera front, the Infinix S5 Lite gives us a triple rear camera setup (16MP primary camera, f/2.0 aperture + 2MP secondary camera + a QVGA camera). The camera of the Infinix S5 Lite comes with features like 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology, AI Scene detection, hybrid focus, bokeh mode, AR Emoji, AR Stickers, 3D Face Beauty, and more. At the front, we get a 16MP selfie snapper which is embedded underneath the punch-hole.

As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the Infinix S5 Lite comes loaded with a big 4,000mAh battery which supports the company’s proprietary Xcharge fast charging technology. Sadly enough, we get a dated USB 2.0 charging port coming up with the device. Thankfully enough, the Infinix S5 Lite retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Moving on to the OS, the Infinix S5 Lite runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with XOS 5.5 on top of it.

Coming to biometrics, one can unlock the Infinix S5 Lite using the facial unlock mechanism or by using the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
