Infinix recently introduced a new compelling smartphone in India known as Infinix Zero 8i. The smartphone comes with a good mix of unique design language and value-for-money specs. The handset is loaded with a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, quad-camera setup, 90Hz refresh rate, and more. With this, Infinix is all set to challenge the likes of Realme and Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO. Both the brands currently have their best-selling models with Realme 7 and POCO M2 Pro. Both of them are quite popular in this price segment and both of them are feature-rich. The Infinix Zero 8i India price is Rs 14,999 for 8GB + 128GB model and is available for purchase from Flipkart. The Realme 7 comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB model and Rs 16,999 for 6GB + 128GB option. The POCO M2 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for 4GB + 64GB, Rs 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB, and Rs 16,999 for 6GB + 128GB of internal storage. Clearly, POCO M2 Pro is all able to cover a wide spectrum in terms of price, but it is Infinix Zero 8i that gives you much better RAM and storage considering the price tag.

Infinix Zero 8i vs Realme 7 vs Poco M2 Pro: Design

Coming to the design, the Infinix Zero 8i comes with a blend of gradient and matte texture. The top half of the device features a matte texture with the frost-like finish, while the second half comes with a gradient all which is designed like a Gem cut. The camera module also looks distinct as compared to the other smartphones in this price. Moreover, there is a pill-shaped camera module on the front, which is a rarity in this price segment.

Coming to the Realme 7, the smartphone comes with a mirror-like design, which gives a premium look and feels. The back panel just reflects the light, which gives a good look. However, like most of the Realme smartphones in this price range, this one too looks quite identical with the rest of its sibling. The rear camera is vertically aligned and there is a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Moving on to POCO M2 Pro, the smartphone is a rip-off of the Redmi Note 9 Pro with some noticeable changes. The company has added a slightly different design with dual-tone finish along with a minute change in the camera module. The smartphone does look marginally better than the Redmi Note 9 Pro and it even has a punch-hole cutout on the front. That said, all the three smartphones offer some good design, but it is Infinix Zero 8i that looks distinct from the rest of the competition.

Infinix Zero 8i vs Realme 7 vs Poco M2 Pro: Display

The Infinix Zero 8i packs a 6.85-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. The screen also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate along with 480nits brightness. The Realme 7 features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The phone also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate along with 120Hz touch sampling rate. The POCO M2 Pro, on the other hand, features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. All the three smartphones offer the same resolution, but it is Infinix Zero 8i and Realme 7 that offers you a higher refresh rate.

Coming to the performance, the Infinix Zero 8i comes with a MediaTek Helio G90T processor along with Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone runs on Android 10 based on XOS 7.0.

The Realme 7 features MediaTek Helio G95 processor along with Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. The phone is available with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The phone also runs on Android 10 with realme UI on top of it.

Lastly, the POCO M2 Pro gets its power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor along with Adreno 618 GPU. The handset comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top of it. That said, all the three smartphones come with some top-of-the-line specs for this price range. The real competition is between Realme 7 and Infinix Zero 8i, while the POCO M2 Pro also gives a stiff competition to both the devices.

In terms of optics, the Infinix Zero 8i features quad-camera setup with 48MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and AI lens. Ont he front, there is a dual-selfie camera setup with 16MP primary lens and 8MP ultra-wide camera with dual-LED flash.

The Realme 7i also features a quad-camera setup with 64MP primary lens, 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro shooter, and 2MP B&W portrait lens. On the front, you get a 16MP selfie shooter. The POCO M2 Pro comes with 48MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro shooter, and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter. That said, the Realme 7 offers better rear cameras, while Infinix Zero 8i comes with much better selfie cameras.

In terms of battery, the Infinix Zero 8i offers 4,500mAh battery and comes with 33W fast charging support. The Realme 7 is juiced up by a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Lastly, the POCO M2 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging solution. All three smartphones come with some long-lasting batteries along with fast charging support. However, it is POCO M2 Pro that comes with better battery capacity and marginally better fast charging solution.

The results are quite astonishing. The Infinix Zero 8i cuts in close with the Realme 7 and POCO M2 Pro. The latest smartphone from Infinix offers a unique design language coupled with some great features. The Realme 7 is also feature-loaded and comes in real close in terms of performance. The POCO M2 Pro is also not far behind and manages to give a stiff competition to Realme 7 and Infinix Zero 8i.

  1. Poco M2 Pro is the odd one out and not good at all. Also, Mediatek Helio G90T and Helio G95 are almost similar, so the other specs might determine the comparison.

  2. At this point, Infinix Zero 8i seems to be a pretty decent choice with its MediaTek Helio G90T processor and the 8GB RAM support. The battery is also good.
