Apple recently released iOS 18 for all and while it lacks Apple Intelligence, a recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals that it will roll out to all eligible devices on October 28. Here’s everything you need to know.
Apple’s iOS 18.1 Update Featuring Apple Intelligence
According to the report, iOS 18.1 was initially expected to launch by mid-October, but Apple decided to delay it slightly to ensure a smooth and bug-free experience. The company is also working to ensure its private cloud computing servers are prepared to handle the surge in AI usage from millions of devices.
The upcoming iOS 18.1 will introduce a suite of AI-powered features, including writing tools, call transcription, enhanced photo search, object removal capabilities, prompt-based memory movie creation, and a revamped Siri. While the initial release will focus on these core features, later updates are expected to bring even more exciting features.
The iOS 18.2 is rumoured to include ChatGPT integration, an interactive image editing tool, and AI-generated emoji. We have a dedicated story about Apple Intelligence and its features, which you can check out here.
