Following the RBI’s order affecting Paytm Payments Bank (PPBL), Paytm assures users that existing balances on their Paytm FASTag will continue beyond February 29th. The company clarified that the RBI directive doesn’t impact user deposits in savings accounts, wallets, FASTags, and NCMC accounts. Paytm users can still use their existing Paytm FASTag balance.
While Paytm ensures continued service for existing balances, questions loom over the future of FASTag on the platform. The uncertainty revolves around what happens when funds in the FASTag account are depleted and how users can add more money to their Paytm FASTag account in the future.
