Truecaller has finally introduced automatic blocking of spam calls on iOS. iPhone users can now avoid unwanted marketing calls by using the app. Previously, this feature was limited to Android, but the latest iOS 18 update has brought the implementation to iPhones. Here are the details.

Truecaller Introduces Automatic Spam Call Blocking on iOS

The latest version 13.12 of Truecaller for iOS has introduced a new Auto-spam block feature. It is available under Truecaller > Protect > Auto-block spam. Users can choose between ‘Top Spammers’ and ‘All Spammers,’ after which the Truecaller app will automatically block spam calls.

Truecaller uses its vast library of caller IDs, and the collaborative data from other users to create a database of top spammers. This information is then used to prevent spam calls from numbers that make too many random calls. Although it’s not a foolproof solution, Android users have reported the feature to be effective against maximum spam calls.

Note that the automatic spam call-blocking feature in iOS is only available to Premium subscribers of Truecaller. There’s no word on if the feature will be available with Truecaller’s free version.

The Individual Truecaller Premium plan is priced at Rs 899/year or Rs 99/month. Users can also opt for the Family plan and share the subscription with four other members for Rs 1,490/year or Rs 249/month.

Truecaller Premium also brings Live Caller ID on iOS, which displays the caller’s name when a call from an unknown number is received. Although these functions are free on Android with some ads, iPhone users will have to pay for a subscription to use these features.
