iPad Pro M2 Launch Tipped to Take Place in September or October 2022

Let’s take a look at the iPad Pro M2 specifications, launch timeline and other details.

Apple recently unveiled the new M2 chip at WWDC 22. The new M-series Apple silicon comes with an 18 per cent faster CPU, 35 per cent more powerful GPU and a 40 per cent improved Neural Engine. The company has already launched the MacBook Air 2022 and the MacBook Pro 2022 with the new M2 chipset. Next in line could be the new iPad Pro models. According to a new report, the iPad Pro M2 launch is imminent.

Apple will launch the new iPad Pro with the new M2 chipset later this year. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman (via MacRumors) claims that the new iPad Pro models will launch in September or October. Let’s take a look at the iPad Pro M2 specifications, launch timeline and other details.

iPad Pro M2 Launch Timeline Tipped

A new Apple event for the launch of the new iPad Pro M2 is likely to be held later this year, possibly in September or October. Gurman claims that the new iPads will feature the new M2 chip. Apple is likely to offer wireless charging support on the iPad for the first time with the new iPad Pro models.

In addition to this, Gurman expected upgrades in the camera department. Currently, it is unknown what upgrades will Apple make to the iPad Pro, which currently features a dual-camera setup with an LED flash and a LiDAR sensor.

The company is likely to launch 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models later this year. Recently, DSCC’s Ross Young claimed that Apple is working on a 14.1-inch iPad Pro. The larger iPad Pro model is not slated to launch this year, according to the leaked details. Apple is instead eyeing a March 2023 launch timeline for the 14.1-inch iPad.

The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro will have the same design as the M1 iPad Pro from 2021. It will, however, have slightly slimmer bezels around the display. Not much will change in the 11-inch model. Apple is rumoured to introduce a mini LED panel on the 11-inch model, which is already available in the 12.9-inch variant. Of course, there will be support for the ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate on both models.
