Apple launched the iPhone 13 series earlier this month. The new iPhone models are going on sale very soon in India and are up for pre-orders as well. Apple has made quite a few upgrades in the iPhone 13 lineup. While the design might look almost similar, most changes have been made under the hood. The new iPhones get a faster A15 Bionic chip and improved, larger camera sensors across all models. Not just that, Apple has also packed bigger batteries in the new 2021 iPhones. At the event, Apple did not reveal the exact battery capacity of each iPhone model. A new report has now revealed these details. iPhone 13 series battery details revealed
iPhone 13 series comes with a bigger battery capacity. A new report has now revealed the exact cell capacity of each of the 2021 iPhone’s batteries. In a filing on the Chemtrec website, Apple revealed the battery details of the new iPhones. The listing spotted to 9to5Mac revealed that the 13 mini packs a 9.57-watt hour battery. This is about 11.6 per cent bigger than the 12 mini’s 8.57-watt hour cell.
The standard iPhone 13 has a 12.41 watt-hour battery as opposed to a 10.78 watt-hour cell on the outgoing model. The 13 Pro packs a slightly smaller 11.97-watt hour battery compared to the regular 13. However, it is about 11 per cent bigger than the outgoing 12 Pro.
Lastly, the top-end 13 Pro Max packs the biggest battery ever found in an iPhone. It has a 16.75 watt-hour battery, which is bigger than the 12 Pro Max’s 14.13 watt-hour battery. In terms of mAh, the 13 Pro Max has a 4400 mAh battery, whereas the 13 mini has a 2,500 mAh cell. The regular 13 and 13 Pro have a 3265 mAh and a 3150 mAh battery, respectively.
At the event, Apple claimed that the iPhone 13 mini and the iPhone 13 Pro offer 1.5 hours of more battery life compared to their respective predecessors. Similarly, the vanilla 13 and 13 Pro Max were claimed to offer up to 2.5 hours of extended battery life on a single charge.
The new iPhone models sport the exact same screen size as their predecessors. The vanilla 13 and 13 Pro have a 6.1-inch screen, whereas the Pro Max model has a 6.7-inch display. The smallest iPhone among the lot, the 13 mini, has a 5.4-inch screen. The notch is now smaller by 20 per cent as well. Apple has also improved the camera sensors on all four new iPhone models.
