iPhone 14 series will debut later this year. Apple is expected to launch four new iPhone models this year. There is no iPhone 14 mini and instead, the company will launch a Max variant sitting between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. There is also the top-end 14 Pro Max launching alongside.

The new iPhone 14 Pro models are said to get major upgrades this year. Apple was also rumoured to launch the iPhone 14 series at a slightly higher price tag compared to the outgoing models. A new report contradicts the previous leaks and states that the iPhone 14 price will be the same as the iPhone 13 series.

iPhone 14 Price Tipped

If the leaked details by Korean blog site Naver are true, then the iPhone 14 will come with a launch price of $799 (roughly Rs 63,300) for the base 128GB model. The report stated that despite the recent price increase and supply chain instability, Apple has decided to freeze the launch price of the iPhone 14 base model. Apple’s top bosses decided to do so after considering the stagnant global mobile market and declining demand. The report does not specifically mention any details about the Pro model’s pricing.

Historically, Apple has launched the iPhone with a direct conversion of the US dollar equalling Rs 100. For example, the $799 iPhone 13 was launched in India for Rs 79,900. The same was the case with the iPhone 12 series. This time around, we might see a slight price bump due to the weakening rupee over the US dollar.

The vanilla iPhone 14 is anyway not coming with many upgrades over the outgoing iPhone 13, according to the rumour. It will get the same A15 Bionic chip from the current models. Apple might make some performance tweaks to boost the chip’s max performance. The non-Pro models will sport a 6.1-inch and a 6.7-inch OLED display. There will be a wide notch at the top for Face ID sensors and the front camera.

The non-Pro models will also get a 12MP dual-camera setup and a 12MP front camera. They will run iOS 16 out of the box. Would you consider buying the upcoming 2022 iPhone for the same price despite the minimal upgrades? Let us know in the comments below.
