iPhone 14, 14 Plus Get New Yellow Colour
The new iPhone 14 series Yellow colour option is exclusive to the non-Pro models. Apple has confirmed that the yellow colour option will be available in India. Customers in India, Australia, Canada, the UK and over 60 other countries can buy the yellow iPhone from March 14. In India, the pre-order window opens at 6.30 pm IST on March 10.
The new iPhone colour option will be available at a starting price of Rs 79,900 for the base 128GB storage option. It can also be bought in 256GB and 512GB storage options. The 256GB storage option has a launch price of Rs 89,900, whereas the 512GB variant attracts a price tag of Rs 1,09,900.
The new colour option is more of a flaunt factor that helps the new iPhone stand out from the rest of the lineup. Moreover, since the iPhone 14 shares its design with the iPhone 13 series, it will further help distinguish between the two series.
As mentioned above, the yellow colour option of the iPhone has the same hardware as the rest of the non-Pro lineup. This means that the iPhone 14 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a 2532×1170-pixel resolution, whereas the 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with a 2778×1284-pixel resolution. Both models sport a notch at the top for the Face ID sensors and the front camera. The display has a claimed peak brightness of 1200 nits and supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
Other than the display size, the 14 Plus has a bigger battery, which Apple claims is the best ever in an iPhone. It is claimed to offer up to 26 hours. The iPhone 14, on the other hand, is claimed to offer up to 20 hours of battery life.
The iPhone 14 series has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Both models support 15W MagSafe charging, 20W wired fast charging and 7.5W wireless charging support.
The latest iPhone boots iOS 16 out of the box. The 14 and 14 Plus also feature an A15 Bionic SoC with a five-core GPU. The devices also feature a dual-camera setup with a 12MP f/1.5 main camera with support for sensor-shift optical image stabilisation. There is also a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view. For selfies, the 14 and 14 Plus feature a 12MP front camera with support for autofocus. The devices also support crash detection and Emergency SOS.
