iPhone 14 Pro models are rumoured to get major upgrades later this year. Apart from upgraded internals, Apple is rumoured to make some major design changes in the Pro models this year. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will ditch the notch in favour of a pill + hole-punch cutout. Based on the leaked details, a dummy unit of the iPhone 14 Pro Max has surfaced on the web.
The dummy units are often made by third-party case makers to manufacture iPhone 14 cases ahead of the launch. One of the dummy units shows the front and back panel design changes coming to the 14 Pro Max. Let’s take a look at the iPhone 14 Pro Max specifications, features and other details known so far.
iPhone 14 Pro Max Design Showcased Via Dummy Model
iPhone 14 series is expected to launch in September 2022. Ahead of the official launch, the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s dummy model has surfaced online. The dummy unit shared by tipster Duan Rui clearly shows a hole-punch and a pill-shaped cutout at the top centre of the Pro Max model. These cutouts will house the Face ID sensors and an upgraded front camera.
On the back, the camera module will be larger than the outgoing model. A recent leak revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera module will be slightly bigger than the 13 Pro Max’s module. Apple is said to introduce a new 48MP main camera sensor, which will be 57 per cent larger than the current 13 Pro models. It will also feature a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera and a LiDAR sensor. The LED flash and a microphone will also make room for themselves in the camera module.
At the front, the 14 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch 120Hz ProMotion OLED display. It will have symmetric bezels on all sides. The iPhone 14 Pro models are rumoured to feature a titanium chassis. Alternatively, Apple could stick to the stainless steel frame found in the 13 Pro models.
The 14 Pro is rumoured to pack a 3,200 mAh battery, whereas the Pro Max will have a 4323 mAh cell. All four iPhone 14 models will pack 6GB of RAM. The Pro models will get the new A16 Bionic chip, whereas the non-Pro models will feature an A15 Bionic chipset.
