Apple iPhone 15 rumours have been floating on the web. The company is expected to launch four new iPhone models this year. There will be the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max. All four iPhone 15 series models are said to get the Dynamic Island design on the front. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are said to get even better upgrades. Meanwhile, if rumours about the iPhone 15 series were not enough, new details about next year’s iPhone models have surfaced online. A new leak has now revealed reveals about the iPhone 16 series.

According to a new leak, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will not get any upgrade in terms of display size. A recent report claimed that the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, which are likely to launch in September 2024, will launch with a bigger display compared to the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. This means that next year, we might see iPhones in four different sizes as opposed to two this year. Let’s take a look at the iPhone 16 series rumours, leaks and specifications known so far.

iPhone 16, 16 Plus Will Not Get Bigger Displays

The iPhone 16 series is more than a year away from its launch. However, the rumour mill wants to spill some means before the iPhone 15 series launches later this year. A MacRumors report, citing display analyst Ross Young, claims that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will feature the same display size as the iPhone 14 series.

The iPhone 16 will feature a 6.1-inch panel, whereas the 16 Plus will have a 6.7-inch display. In comparison, the iPhone 15, 15 Pro are said to feature a 6.1-inch display, whereas the 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max will end up getting 6.7-inch displays.

Next year, to widen the differentiation in terms of specs and features, Apple might launch the 2024 iPhones in four different sizes. The base model will have a 6.1-inch display, whereas its Plus-sized version will have a 6.7-inch display. The 16 Pro will sit in between the two with a 6.3-inch display, whereas the top-end 16 Pro Max will have a massive display of nearly 6.9 inches in size.

Young is usually accurate when it comes to Apple-related leaks. Therefore, it could be possible that the 2024 iPhone’s leaked display specifications are true.

A separate leak by Young previously revealed that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will continue to offer 60Hz refresh rate support. All four models will have the pill-shaped cutout at the top centre for the Face ID sensors and the front cameras.

The report had revealed that the 2025 baseline iPhone models, which will possibly be called iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus, will be the first non-Pro iPhones to feature 120Hz ProMotion support. The 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are said to ditch the pill-shaped cutout in favour of a tiny hole-punch cutout for the front camera. What about the Face ID sensors then? Well, Young claims that Apple will move the Face ID sensors below the screen in the Pro models of 2025. You can click here to know more about the iPhone roadmap till 2027.
