Along with that, we will also compare the specification of the iPhone SE 2022 with the OnePlus 9 5G, which is arguably the best phone and also the most popular phone in the segment.

Apple iPhone SE 2022 vs Asus 8Z vs OnePlus 9: Pricing and Availability
The iPhone SE 2022 starts at Rs Rs 43,900 for the 64GB, the 128GB variant costs Rs 48,900, and Rs Rs 58,900 for the 256GB variant. The iPhone SE will be up for pre-orders starting March 11 and will go on sale from March 18 across India including Flipkart.
The Asus 8Z is available in the sole 8GB+128GB option, which is priced at Rs 42,999. The device is now available for purchase on Flipkart.
The OnePlus 9 base variant, 8GB+128GB is priced at Rs 44,999 and the 12GB+256GB costs Rs 49,999. The phone is available on Amazon, OnePlus.in, and offline stores.

One of the few areas where the new iPhone SE did not get an upgrade in the design and display segment. The phone comes with glass protection both on the front as well as on the back, similar to the iPhone 13. However, the design of the phone is strikingly similar to the iPhone SE 2020 with bezels all around the display on the front and curved edges. The phone sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1334×750 pixel resolution, 625 nits max brightness and it supports a wide colour gamut as well. For those who are looking for a thin and light phone, the iPhone SE 2022 won’t disappoint as it is just 7.3mm thin and weighs just 144 grams. Apart from that, the phone is also IP67 rated and comes with a fingerprint scanner built into the Home button and there is a lightning port on the bottom.
Coming to the Asus 8Z, the device weighs just 169g, which is good compared to other Android phones in the segment and it measures 148 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm. The phone is also IP68 rated for protection against dust and water. Apart from the usual volume keys and power button, the Asus 8Z comes with a Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers with Dirac HD Sound, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. In the visual department, the device sports a 5.9-inch 20:9 Full HD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 1100 nits peak brightness, and HDR 10 and HDR10+ playback support. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front.
Lastly, the OnePlus 9 5G measures 8.1mm thick and the phone weighs 183 grams. The OnePlus 9 also comes with the classic OnePlus alter slider on the side along with a stereo speaker setup. It sports a 120Hz AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 6.55-inch screen. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and so is the back of the phone. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint reader.

The iPhone SE 2022 gets a big boost here as it is powered by Apple’s in-house A15 Bionic chipset, which is built on a 5nm process with two ARMv8 high-performance cores and four energy-efficient cores. The phone supportS 5G network, which is a big boost for an affordable iPhone. While the amount of RAM is not known at the moment, the phone comes in three storage options 一 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
Both the Asus 8Z and the OnePlus 9 are powered by Snapdragon 888 5G processor and they’re paired with Adreno 660 GPU. The chipset comes with a max clock speed of 2.84 GHz. Both phones come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Asus 8Z comes in the sole 8GB+128GB option, while the OnePlus 9 is available in 8/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

The Apple iPhone SE 2022, again doesn’t get a big upgrade here as it comes with a sole 12MP rear camera along with an LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, portrait mode, OIS, deep fusion, smart HDR 4 and more. There is a 7MP selfie camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture on the front. The device supports up to 4K video recording at 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps.
In terms of optics, the Asus 8Z offers a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, PFAF, and OIS. This is followed by a 12MP Sony IMX363 lens. The 64MP main camera can record up to 8K videos and up to 4K HDR and the 12MP can record up to 4K. To the front, the phone sports a 12MP Sony IMX663 dual-pixel autofocus camera.
The OnePlus 9 on the other hand comes with a 48MP Sony IMX689 main camera with ƒ/1.8 aperture, a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. To the front, the phone features a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie snapper. OnePlus has tied up with Hasselblad for colour science on the OnePlus 9 series. Surprisingly, the OnePlus 9 misses out on the OIS.
Apple iPhone SE 2022 vs Asus 8Z vs OnePlus 9: Battery and Charging
Like always Apple hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of the iPhone SE. However, the company says the phone will last up to 15 hours of local video playback, up to 10 hours of video streaming, and up to 50 hours of audio playback on a single charge. As for the charging, you will need to use the USB-C to Lightning cable provided in the box, which changes the device to 50% charge in 30 minutes with a 20W adapter. The phone also supports wireless charging. However, the brand is not providing an adapter in the box.
The Asus 8Z on the contrary comes with a 4,000mAh battery and it also supports 30W fast charging. The OnePlus 9 sports a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for Warp Charge 65T fast charging, which charges the device to 100% in just 30 minutes. Both phones come with a fast charger in the box and both do not support wireless charging.

The iPhone SE 2022 runs on iOS 15 out of the box and will get updates for at least the next four years. On the other hand, both the Asus 8Z and OnePlus 9 were launched with Android 11 out of the box. The OnePlus 9 has received Android 12 already, but the Asus 8Z is yet to device the Android 12 update.
