Considering that Google is expected to release the stable version of Android 14 soon, several smartphone OEMs now have started the Android 14 beta program for their smartphones. Recently, OnePlus announced the commencement of Android 14-based OxygenOS Open Beta 1 for its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 11. Now, iQOO is the latest OEM who have announced the Android 14 preview program for the iQOO 11 smartphone. The company took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the details of the Android 14 preview program.
iQOO Starts Enrollment of Testers For Android 14-Based FuntouchOS 14 Program
As per the details shared by iQOO via its forum, it will only accept 500 invitations for the iQOO 11 Android 14 preview program. For the enrollment of the same, users will have to head over to Settings > System Update > Settings Icon (in the top-right corner) > Trial version to register. If your application gets accepted you will receive Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14 software update on your iQOO 11 on September 18.
Before applying for the Android 14 preview program, do note that your iQOO 11 unit should be running the latest system version 13.0.8.16.W30.V000L1 or above. If there is any change in the plan due to some uncontrollable factors, the brand will issue a notice to the testers.
Alongside iQOO 11, Vivo in a piece of related news also has announced the Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14 preview program for the Vivo X90 Pro smartphone. As per the details shared by Vivo via X (formerly Twitter), it will accept 500 invitations for the Android 14 preview program. The company has started recruiting testers on September 12 i.e. yesterday. For enrollment, users need to head over to Settings>System Update>Settings Icon (in the top-right corner)>Trial version and register for the same. If your application is accepted you should receive the Android 14 update on your Vivo X90 Pro starting September 18.
In order to enrol for the Android 14 preview program on your Vivo X90 Pro, make sure that your unit is running version 13.1.13.8.W30.V000L1 or above. Needless to say, as this is a beta software build, it may contain some bugs and some of the third-party applications might not work. Before applying for the Android 14 preview program on either iQOO 11 or Vivo X90 Pro, make sure that you take a backup of all your important data.
We can expect both Vivo and iQOO to release the stable Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14 software update in the coming few days for the Vivo X90 Pro and the iQOO 11 when the beta testing ends.
