iQOO 11 5G is finally here as India’s first smartphone to feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The latest model from iQOO offers a premium design and some industry-leading features and specifications. The phone comes with a flagship-grade 50MP triple-camera setup, 120W fast charging support, E6 AMOLED display, and more, making it one of the best smartphones in this price segment. However, this is not it! The iQOO 11 also makes a great gaming smartphone with a host of exciting features like a large vapour cooling chamber, dedicated V2 chip, motion control, in-display dual monster touch, dual X-Axis linear motors, and more. In this article, we will be talking about the 5 top reasons why we love the device and two reasons why we don’t. So, without further ado, let’s get started!
5 Reasons Why We Love iQOO 11 5G
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
The iQOO 11 5G is the first smartphone loaded with Qualcomm’s state-of-the-art processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is built using TSMC 4nm process and delivers excellent power and efficiency ratio. The chipset features one large core of Cortex X3, two large cores of Cortex A720, two medium-size cores of Cortex A710, and three efficiency cores of Cortex A510. This simply means that you will get much performance as compared to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
The SoC delivers up to 10 per cent in peak performance and up to 20 per cent in GPU peak performance. Moreover, the iQOO 11 is loaded with LPDDR5X RAM, which is 33 per cent faster than LPDDR5 and offers reduced power consumption. The handset also comes loaded with new UFS 4.0 storage, which offers a noticeable jump in sequential write and read speeds. Plus, with an Antutu score of 1.3 million+, the iQOO 11 is one of the fastest and most powerful smartphones that you can buy in India.
E6 AMOLED Display
Another major highlight of iQOO 11, which makes us instantly fall in love, is the all-new display. The iQOO 11 is equipped with a 678-inch 2K E6 AMOLED display. The screen offers a refresh rate of 144Hz along with a 1200Hz instant and 300 touch sampling rate. However, this is not the best part of the screen, the phone comes with the E6 AMOLED display panel, which elevates the whole multimedia consumption. The E6 AMOLED screen provides a peak brightness of 1,800nits, which is one of the highest in this segment. Moreover, it provides 25 per cent less blue light emission than the E5 display, which helps to protect the vision.
V2 Chip and Large Vapour Chamber for Gaming
What makes iQOO 11 a unique smartphone in this segment is the all-new V2 chipset. The dedicated, intelligent display chip helps in smoother gaming and a better photography experience. The chip helps to increase the frame rate from 45fps to 90 fps and 60fps to 120fps, which enhances the gaming experience. Moreover, the chip also increases the frame rate of those games that do not support a higher frame rate.
The iQOO 11 is also a gaming beast with the new large vapour chamber for better heat dissipation. The chamber is made of stainless steel and measures 4013mm², which helps in better temperature management.
120W Fast Charging
Another thing we liked about the iQOO 11 is the ultra-fast 120W fast charging support. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged up to 50 per cent in just eight minutes and 100 per cent in just 25 minutes. The phone uses 6C battery cells and dual IC chips that maximise the charging speed.
iQOO is known for providing top-of-the-line features and specifications at an affordable price point. The newest iQOO 11 5G stands tall on this claim. The handset comes with a price tag of Rs 59,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The top-end variant with 16GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 64,999. However, this is not it!
The company is offering some lucrative offers that bring down the price of this flagship phone. ICICI and HDFC bank customers can avail flat Rs 5,000 instant discount. Moreover, you get a Rs 1,000 discount if you are an Amazon Prime member. Apart from this, one can get up to 3,000 exchange bonuses. If we combine all these, we get an effective price of Rs 50,999 and Rs 55,999 for 8GB and 16GB options, respectively. Although the price is not that aggressive, these launch offers make it an exciting choice.
2 Reasons Why We Don’t
The iQOO 11 5G runs on the Android 13 operating system, which is based on the latest FunTouch OS 13. Although the user interface brings some great features to the table, like a new theme engine, new permission, advanced security and privacy, and more, the issue of bloatware still remains. That being said, you can manually delete some of the applications from the device, though it would be slightly better if the bloatware were reduced.
This may not be a con of iQOO 11 5G, but more of a suggestion. We know that the device brings its signature leather finish to the flagship phone, which offers a good grip and a premium look. However, we have seen this design in other iQOO smartphones, especially in the Legend series. This is why we expect an upgrade in the design, which might have a more distinctive look.
