iQOO is rumoured to launch its new flagship smartphone series soon. The company launched the iQOO 9 series earlier this year in India, followed by the iQOO 10 series in China. The iQOO 11 series will be the next flagship smartphone lineup from the brand. The Vivo sub-brand will launch its new flagship phones later this year in China. The iQOO 11 series is expected to launch in India later this year or early next year.
The company has not confirmed any details of the launch timeline. Meanwhile, a new report has leaked the key specifications of the vanilla iQOO flagship phone. Let’s take a look at the iQOO 11 specifications, features and other details known so far.
iQOO 11 Specifications
The iQOO 11 will sit below its Pro model in China. It will feature different camera hardware and pack a bigger battery than the 11 Pro. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the iQOO 11 will come with the same 6.78-inch display size as the Pro model. However, the vanilla model’s display resolution will be capped at Full HD+. The E6 AMOLED display will also feature support for a 144Hz refresh rate.
The non-Pro model is likely to sport a flat display with thin bezels and a hole-punch cutout. On the back, the phone will feature a triple-camera setup. It will come with a 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera along with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera. In comparison, the 11 Pro is tipped to feature a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 14.6MP portrait telephoto camera.
Selfies will be taken care of by a 16MP front camera in the standard 11 5G. The phone will also feature the newly-launched V2 chip to offer better portraits and lowlight images. There will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The same SoC is likely to feature in the upcoming OnePlus 11 5G, Samsung Galaxy S23 series and the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series. Qualcomm will unveil more details about its new flagship SoC at the Snapdragon Summit in November.
iQOO is said to pack a bigger battery in the vanilla model. It is claimed to pack a 5000mAh cell, as opposed to the vanilla iQOO 10 which came with a 4700mAh battery. It will continue to feature support for 120W fast charging out of the box. The device should be charged completely within 25-30 minutes using the proprietary charging solution.
Brar further revealed that iQOO will launch its flagship smartphone with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The phone will offer three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The 12GB RAM option is likely to pack the top-tier 512GB storage. Lastly, the iQOO 11 could run Android 13-based Origin OS out of the box. The India variant will feature Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.
Compared to the iQOO 9, which was launched earlier this year in India, the upcoming flagship will get upgrades in the So and battery departments. The iQOO 9 5G also came with a 144Hz refresh rate display. It is unknown if the 11 series will feature an independent display chip, which is found in the current flagship lineup.
