iQOO is gearing up for the iQOO 7 series launch in India. The company is yet to announce the launch date of its flagship smartphone in India. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the iQOO 7 have leaked via the official website. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will come with a 66W fast charging support. This is unlike the China variant, which comes with a 120W fast charger in the box. The 120W fast charger is claimed to charge the 4000 mAh battery within 15 minutes. iQOO is yet to announce the iQOO 7 launch date in India. Ahead of the launch, the official website has leaked some key details of the device.

The microsite on IQOO’s official website confirms the iQOO 7 Legend battery charging capacity details. As per the disclaimer section, the device will come with 66W fast charging support. The device has already launched in China where it features a 120W fast charger in the box. We are unsure at the moment if the India variant will come with a 66W fast charger in the box. It could also be possible that the device will come with a 33W or a 55W fast charger while supporting 66W peak fast charging.

The company, in its teasers so far, has not marketed the highlight feature yet. iQOO 7 is among the world’s fastest charging smartphones. It could be possible that the company is launching the device with 66W fast charging support to keep the device temperature in check. Add to it the Indian summer, where the temperature hits 55 degrees in some regions.

Regardless, 66W fast charging is the highest we have here in India and is likely to charge the phone in 35 minutes, if not less.

iQOO 7 specifications

The device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM in China. It comes with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device also has a new Vapour Chamber for better heat dissipation.

As mentioned, the India variant will come with 66W fast charging support for the 4000 mAh battery.

At the front is a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a centrally-aligned hole-punch cutout. The screen has a 1080 x 2400 resolution and comes with 120Hz refresh rate support. It also has a 300Hz touch sampling rate and 1300 nits of peak brightness.

The device comes with a triple-camera setup. It has a 48MP f/1.79 primary camera with OIS and EIS. It also has a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 13MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom, and 20x digital zoom. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera.

The device runs Android 11 with OriginOS on top of it. We can expect the India variant to come with Funtouch OS 11 out of the box. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-SIM support, and USB Type-C port.
