iQOO will launch its new flagship Android smartphones on August 17. The company will debut the iQOO 8 and a Pro variant of the same in China. iQOO has already teased some of the key specs of its upcoming flagship smartphone ahead of the launch. The iQOO 8 series will feature a Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC under the hood. It is also confirmed to feature support for 120W fast charging. iQOO 8 series debuts on August 17 in China. Ahead of the launch, the specifications and key details of the two phones have leaked. According to a Weibo post spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, the iQOO 8 Pro will come with a 4,500 mAh battery. The company has already confirmed that the phone will support 50W wireless charging, 120W wired fast charging and 10W reverse charging. The leaked image confirms that the vanilla model will pack a slightly smaller 4,350 mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Pro model will have a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultrawide lens and a 16MP mid-focus lens with a focal length of 14-60mm. The vanilla model will also have a triple-camera setup. It will have a 48MP primary camera and two 13MP sensors.
Both devices will draw power from a Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The Pro model will come in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options. It will also have a 2K 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The Samsung E5 panel will also support 10-bit colour and a 120Hz refresh rate. The vanilla model will have a Full HD+ display. The screen size remains unknown at the moment.
